Basically any film that doesn't show the English in a great light and worldbeaters is a load of old bollocks.

Go watch a documentary then.
I bet the families and comrades of those soldiers depicted didn't feel a thing when they died so some effort to convey emotion is complete uncalled for.
Please. Give up the hard man act and have a good night.

We discuss opinions here, son, if you don't want yours discussed, don't post it.
It is basically a true story, you said it was too sentimental, I was honestly curiously how you would change the telling of it to make it better for you.
You can call me names and avoid the question but that is all that was going on.

If you are going to make a statement that something is wrong, have the guts to explain how you would fix it. Or you could play around with words.

British troops burning down a church with civilians locked inside.
Never happened and a disgraceful twist of history as the only known case was actually the Nazis in occupied France

You said everything American about WWII which includes it, unless you want to wiggle out of it by saying its a not a film, though it was based on a book.
If you want to go by the letter of the law -
Thin Red Line The Big Red One Letters from Iwo Jima
are not terrible! films - in terms of accuracy
